August is ending and the some of the trees are already looking like they are considering the approaching fall. The end of summer is bittersweet. The hot days are over, the new cool mornings are refreshing and another school and church year are on their way. As we say good-bye to another season, let us remember to thank God for all the wonderful seasons He brings. We invite you to experience God and His creation at Gove Hill any time of year.
Cabin Renovation project: We will be starting this project as soon as we are able to have the building reset on a firm foundation. Groups with skilled volunteers will be most welcome to assist with the renovation. Our goal is to have the cabin ready for spring 2012.
Gazebo project: The gazebo roofing has begun. With one more day of volunteers, we should be able to finish the sheathing and begin the roofing materials. Many trim pieces will be needed after that, but the bulk of the structure will be complete. Pictures are posted on facebook as the building progresses. Skilled work crews are welcome.
